I am child, and I have rights

Issuing the first Libyan book for children to increase their awareness of their rights Noor Al Hayat Charity Society issued a book by the title “I am child, and I have rights!” by Samy Al Jawady, and Designs by AyaHashkal. The book helps to raise the awareness of children of their rights in a simple funny way.

The book targets the children between 6-12 years old to help them know their rights so they can defend themselves and others. It affirms their right to live a dignified life, to get the information and knowledge they need, to enjoy playing, and it affirms the necessity of protecting the children from the effects of conflicts through the love and care of their parents.

The book is an educational tool for teachers and parents to develop the awareness of the children.

The idea of the book started after starting the campaign of “My Child is Precious” by our society, which focused on raising the awareness of the children about the dangers of sexual harassment, kidnapping, and child abuse. During that campaign, our team notices the lack of knowledge among children of their most basic rights.

So, we decided to issue that book hoping to shed more light on this kind of information that lacks our children in Libya.
