The 16-day campaign includes activities against gender-based violence, and it is an international effort that hopes to put an end to all violence practices against women and girls. It is an annual campaign that starts on the 25th of November of each year, which marks the International Day to End Violence against Women, and it ends on the 10th of December, which is the International Day for Human Rights. Every year UNICEF and UNFPA and Noor Al Hayat call the organizations of civil society to join the campaign to raise awareness about violence against women. This year we chose the motto “I can” to raise awareness about the dangers of marrying minors, and to urge teenage girls to finish their education to achieve their dreams.
